Update Structure Fire; INC#1223; 05:35PM; 1419 S Long Beach Av; http://bit.ly/2AtEPjk; Downtown; This is now a Major Emergency Structure Fire with over 136FF on scene. The structure is a mid-block commercial building with exposures on three sides. Firefighters are working to ensure the fire does not extend into those structures while battling the fire in a defensive mode. There are wires down, creating a hazard and DWP is responding. LAFD Arson enroute for the investigation. PIO Captain Branden Silverman is onscene at the Command Post (Long Beach x South of Newton) for any media inquires.
