Update Structure Fire; INC#1481; 11:23PM; 1755 E 57th St; https://bit.ly/2WA4e4V; Central-Alameda; With 116 firefighters assigned to the incident, this is now a Major Emergency Structure Fire. A large pallet fire has engulfed a metal clad building and threatening at least one residential structure. Firefighters deployed heavy streams and are in a defensive mode. They are making progress but with the dense storage of wood pallets, this fire is burning fiercely and will not be a quick knockdown. Downed power lines are an additional hazard firefighters are working around. No injuries reported. LAFD PIO Captain Weireter is enroute for media availability (approximately 35 min ETA).
