UPDATE *Major Emergency Status* Ship Fire; INC#1555; 08:00PM; 701 E New Dock St; https://bit.ly/47cZkg9; San Pedro; Fire can be seen outside the ship in several bays at this time. Hazardous materials have been identified in involved bays, per the ship's manifest -- all LAFD members on scene are fully encapsulated and breathing through their SCBAs. Marine units are cooling the outside of the ship to make conditions onboard more tenable; however, Incident Command has instructed that no firefighting members go below deck. At 7:58pm, an explosion was noted mid-deck that has affected power including lights and crane operations on the ship. No injuries reported. 15 crew members have been safely removed from the ship, while 2 are confirmed still onboard and 6 are currently unaccounted for.
