Update KNOCKDOWN Greater Alarm Structure Fire; INC#1661; 01:09AM; 1846 E 57th St; https://bit.ly/3ui6Pju; Central-Alameda; The commercial building engulfed in flames threatened nearby structures on three sides. Firefighters strategically positioned themselves to defend the surrounding buildings and deluged the well-involved structure from the exterior. It took 67 LAFD firefighters 72 minutes to eliminate the flames. Sadly, one person perished in the blaze. The cause of the fire and circumstances surrounding the fatality are under active investigation.
