Update #60thStreetFire Greater Alarm Structure Fire; INC#1098; 04:25PM; 1001 E 60th St; https://bit.ly/3jX1ydi; Florence; 117 LAFD personnel (with LACoFD assistance in automatic aid) have largely contained this LAFD Greater Alarm fire, holding still active flames and smoldering fire within the large metal building of origin, an apparent metal furnishings manufacturing firm where one adult male worker, seen entering the building prior to LAFD arrival, was not seen exiting, and remains unaccounted for. A systemic search continues. One LAFD Firefighter sustained a non-life threatening injury in a ~ 5 foot fall during fire attack (that had transitioned to offensive tactics at 4:05 PM), and has been taken to an area hospital for primary care.
