Update Forward Progress Stopped Grass Fire; INC#0867; 03:20PM; 6400 N Woodley Av; https://bit.ly/2SNWUV8; Van Nuys; The 48 assigned LAFD ground and air personnel worked in unison to stop the forward progress of this largely wind-driven fire at one (1) acre of wildland northwest of 'Lake Balboa' in the Sepulveda Basin Recreation Area. No injury. No structure damage. LAFD ground crews will continue to work the entire edge of the fire this afternoon with hose lines and hand tools, to assure full containment and extinguishment.
