Update Fatality - Confined Space Rescue; INC#0720; 01:18PM; 12000 S Vista Del Mar; https://bit.ly/2MZchr9; Playa del Rey; Despite bystander CPR and continued care by 47 LAFD responders, including LAFD Paramedics and Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) personnel specially trained, equipped and certified to perform confined space rescues, the 43 year-old male worker (unknown site affiliation) has been determined dead at the scene, after sustaining severe trauma from an approximately 25' fall to the bottom of a 15' x 15' pit-like confined space that was mostly dry, with a small amount of moisture at bottom, utilized for unknown purpose, at the City of Los Angeles Hyperion Water Reclamation Plant. LAFD responders will remain at scene to assist the Coroner in his removal.
