Update Forward Progress Stopped - #GermainFire - Brush Fire; INC#1009; 02:16PM; 22200 W Germain St; https://bit.ly/3lxLXC9; #Chatsworth; The well coordinated response of LAFD, LACoFD and VCFD firefighters (all three agencies with both ground and air units assigned) has stopped forward progress of the "Germain Fire" at an estimated two (2.0) acres of vegetation in rocky terrain near the three agencies common border in and near Chatsworth Park. No injury. No structure damage. No evacuation. Firefighters are continuing to fully extinguish stubborn hotspots and create a bare earth perimeter to the fire. To protect both firefighters and the traveling public, railroad tracks in the Santa Susana Pass (Metrolink Ventura County Line / also used by Amtrak Pacific Surfliner and Union Pacific Railroad) will remain closed to all freight and passenger train traffic between Chatsworth and Simi Valley until further notice.
