Firefighters forced access and quickly discovered active fire inside Unit 218. Roof and interior operations coordinated to ventilate smoke and extinguish flames in the unit of origin — knockdown in 36 minutes by first-arriving companies. Crews remain onscene to overhaul damage and assess adjacent units for fire exposure.
