Structure Fire - FATALITY; INC#1837; 11:43PM; 8300 S Kenyon Av; https://bit.ly/3hUmhON; Westchester; Firefighters arrived to a single family dwelling with fire showing in an area (courtyard type) with excessive storage. Firefighters made an aggressive attack on the fire and extinguished it in 17 minutes. After being informed the male occupant typically slept in a tent in the area of the fire, the conducted a search. Upon locating the tent, they found an adult male beyond medical help and determined deceased on scene. LAFD Arson is responding for the investigation per protocol for a fatality. LAFD PIO Captain Cody Weireter is enroute and estimated to be on scene at 1AM for media availability.
