Structure Fire; INC#0214; 05:32AM; 607 N Alvarado St; https://bit.ly/2CnrFYu; Echo Park; LAFD sent 60 firefighters to the one-story metal-clad commercial building with fire in densely packed storage and (what appeared to be) hazardous materials inside. It took 28 minutes to extinguish the flames within the contents of the building, however a double roof concealed flames within the structural members, which continued to put out pressurized smoke after the contents were extinguished. Firefighters continued working to expose the void space and get water on the fire. Overall, it took firefighters 49 minutes (6:21 AM) to completely extinguish all areas of the building. No reported injuries.
