Update #MontereyFire - Major Emergency Brush Fire; INC#1442; 09:05PM; 4235 N Monterey Rd; https://maps.app.goo.gl/q29wq3ydYCUkgxBKA; #MontecitoHeights; Thanks to 73 minutes of relentless firefighting by LAFD ground and air crews, forward progress of the "Monterey Fire" has been stopped. A final acreage figure will be calculated as further containment is achieved by LAFD and LACoFD Hand Crews. No injuries have been reported and no structures were damaged. No evacuation warnings or orders were issued. The LAFD will remain on scene through the night to closely monitor hotspots and complete a damp bare earth perimeter of the burned area.
