Update KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#0415; 06:52AM; 100 W 1st St; https://bit.ly/4r2jVys; San Pedro; 93 firefighters knocked down the blaze within 58 minutes of coordinated interior and exterior work on the boarded up former church. Primary and secondary searches confirmed no occupants found inside structure. No injuries reported. LA Port PD and LAFD Arson units are responding per protocol. No cause of fire determined at this time. Resources will remain on scene to assess the safety and viability of the structure, while performing overhaul/clean up procedures, while awaiting arrival of LADWP (power and water) as well as the Gas Co. LAFD PIO has an 0845 ETA to the incident.
