Knockdown - Grass Fire; INC#0983; 02:53PM; 9211 N Encino Av; https://bit.ly/3HqHHTl; #Northridge; With the aid of precise LAFD helicopter water drops, 55 LAFD ground responders working in 100°F+ ambient heat, took just 61 minutes to confine and fully extinguish a fast-moving fire involving ground and dense canopy vegetation on a 30,000 square foot residential parcel, that extended to damage at least two shed-like structures and a residential building (accessory dwelling unit). One firefighter sustained a significant hand laceration during the battle. In good condition, he will be transported to an area hospital for primary care. No other firefighter or civilian injuries were reported.
