Earthquake Mode; 07:43PM; Related to earthquake in City of San Bernardino; https://maps.app.goo.gl/SBktUbY22awMH5ai7; ~50 Miles East of Downtown Los Angeles; As the result of a preliminary magnitude 4.2 earthquake at 7:43 PM PST centered near San Bernardino, California, the LAFD is in Earthquake Mode. Per protocol, crews at all 106 LAFD neighborhood fire stations are conducting a strategic survey of their districts, examining all major areas of concern (transportation infrastructure, utilities, large places of public assemblage, etc). Once this process is complete and reports are consolidated, assuming there is no significant damage, LAFD Earthquake Mode will be complete. This process typically takes less than one hour. There are currently no initial reports of structural damage or injuries.
