Brush Fire, Outside City; INC#1498; 08:18PM; Cranston Fire; http://bit.ly/2LMe3WF; Boyle Heights; Cal OES Strike Team 1880 deployed to the #CranstonFire near Idyllwild. The strike team consists of five engines and a battalion chief. It is called "Cal OES Strike Team" because the engines are the ones provided to LAFD by California Office of Emergency Services (CAL OES) for use in our fire department with first priority being brush fires in CA. As of 7:30PM, the Cranston Fire is over 3,000 acres with 0% containment, 500 personnel assigned and numerous mandatory evacuations in place.
