Traffic Collision; INC#0294; 07:30AM; 564 W Solano Av; http://bit.ly/3bOIhWp; Elysian Park; A school bus (containing children) was involved in a solo-vehicle traffic collision involving a power pole/electrical wires down. Everyone is out of the vehicle and clear of the hazard. At least nine pediatric patients were assessed by firefighter-paramedics on scene. Update KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#1506; 08:03PM; 1426 W Killarney Av; http://bit.ly/2SFLFvl; Mount Washington; LAFD apparatus navigated through narrow winding streets to bring 28 firefighters to the three-story hillside home. Firefighters climbed through excessive storage conditions to access and extinguish fire in the attic in 18 minutes. No injuries have been reported. Update KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#1597; 11:05PM; 927 E 24th St; http://bit.ly/2wqSEQ4; Historic South-Central; 42 firefighters extinguished a vacant one-story single family dwelling and the home next to it, in 22 minutes. Firefighters navigated wires down in the rear, while battling the main blaze, and protecting the structures surrounding the well-involved building. No reported injuries. Gas Leak 02/17/2020 INC#0605

Gas Leak; INC#0605; 11:22AM; 3429 W Olympic Bl; http://bit.ly/37GaPyh; Koreatown; An extensive release of gas occured near a six-story modern residential structure. LAFD Hazardous Materials Task Force and LAFD Joint Hazard Assessment Team on scene. Approximately 25 occupants have been evacuated. Crews isolated the hazard area and denied entry while Gas Company crews were working to locate and mitigate the problem. Large LAFD presence in the area was precautionary with fire suppression group standing by. The leak has been stopped. No patients resulted from this incident. Units are being released. Update Structure Fire KNOCKDOWN 02/17/2020 INC#0254

Update KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#0254; 06:44AM; 2205 W Venice Bl; http://bit.ly/3bM8J35; Harvard Heights; 71 FF in 15 min. Firefighters found a 7,500 sq-ft two-story center-hallway apartment building built in 1959, with one unit fully involved with fire. Firefighters helped residents evacuate, as they advanced hose lines into the unit, including evacuating one resident who is paralyzed and could not self-evacuate. Firefighters on the roof cut a hole over the fire unit as fire attack companies extinguished the fire below. Firefighters set up blowers to clear the building of smoke, which was mostly kept from spreading through the hall. One patient complained of minor respiratory distress and has been evaluated by firefighter-paramedics on scene and transported to a local hospital. Red Cross has been notified to assist displaced residents. No other injuries.
