While in an offensive firefighting mode firefighter used a coordinated effort between fire attack and roof ventilation to prevent further extension throughout the Two-story garden-style apartment building with one unit well involved with fire. CHP has closed the off ramp to traffic. Firefighters have handlines encircling the perimeter to prevent the spread of the fire. Update Brush Fire - NOW OUT; INC#0853; 01:05PM; 3500 N Tacoma Av; https://bit.ly/3GZ4oxR; Mount Washington; Initially reported as a grass fire (30'x30'), the incident commander upgraded to a brush fire due to topography the fire spread (50'x50'). Approximately 46 firefighters on the ground fully extinguished all active flames and remain on scene for mop up. Crew 4 added to assist with mop up phase. Air resources were deployed but not utilized.
