The commercial building was defended from any damage. The freeway will likely remain closed for an extended period as additional (non LAFD) resources are brought in to pull the truck back onto the road and safely remove it. The sole occupant (driver) of the truck was safely out before LAFD arrival and does not have any injuries. Fire attack is inside the structure but due to the divided structure (multiple hallways and rooms) and heavy smoke to the floor, they have not yet found the seat of the fire. The truck companies are working to ventilate the unit and provide relief to fire attack, however due to the layout it requires them to cut a hole over each room which is also causing a delay.
