The first arriving 22 LAFD Firefighters took just 11 minutes to confined and extinguish flames within the structure/vehicles. No injury. There are two separate, multi-unit commercial buildings with a fire in a wall, extending into the floor. It is difficult to reach and firefighters are working to open up sections of wall in the tight area. Update Structure Fire 03/24/2021 INC#1340

Update Structure Fire; INC#1340; 07:47PM; 1603 S San Pedro St; https://bit.ly/3mp8Gy8; Downtown; KNOCKDOWN: Over 100 firefighters conducted a closely coordinated operation, using aerial ladder from the freeway to send firefighters to the roof to secure the people sheltering atop the building. The roof was deemed a safe location (concrete, poured in place high rise) and the occupants were kept in place. Some of them will require evaluation for possible smoke inhalation and once the stairwells are cleared, firefighters will bring them down. At the same time, crews on fire attack quickly ascended the building, located and extinguished fire on both the 2nd and 3rd floors in 29 minutes. A primary and secondary search was clear and no other occupants were found.
