Update KNOCKDOWN Brush Fire; INC#1041; 04:21PM; 8336 W Mulholland Dr; https://bit.ly/3mxqxoi; Hollywood Hills West; The fire appears to have been started by a downed power pole, resulting from a traffic collision. The fire burned light-to-medium brush in 7 mph winds. Firefighters navigated around the electrical hazard from the power pole, deployed hose lines into the brush, and stopped all forward progress of the fire at approximately one-quarter acre in 19 minutes (53 firefighters). Firefighter-paramedics are on scene evaluating an occupant from the vehicle. Update KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#0492; 10:31AM; 5142 N Vineland Ave; North Hollywood; The initial caller reported a transformer problem, which was later upgraded to a structure fire. It took 36 firefighters 25 minutes to locate and extinguish the flames, which appear to have been caused by an electrical problem. No reported injuries. Update KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#0682; 12:15PM; 1622 E 32nd St; https://bit.ly/3fN4pFb; Central-Alameda; The first 32 LAFD firefighters extinguished a fire that destroyed approximately half of a one-story single-family home in 14 minutes. The fire appeared to have started on the exterior of the structure and extended inside. A SAVE card will be provided for the residents and Red Cross has been notified to assist them. After firefighters performed a thorough search of the house, thankfully, the initial reports of an occupant still inside were confirmed to be false. No reported injuries. Structure Fire - Now Out; INC#0361; 08:39AM; 647 N Spring St; https://bit.ly/3wBpHLN; Downtown; Firefighters found a two-story commercial building with smoke showing when they arrived. The building had been burned previously, containing ventilation holes in the roof from a previous incident allowing the smoke to escape. Crews assigned to interior fire attack located and extinguished the fire, which was burning contents on the second floor. It took 38 firefighters 12 minutes (8:51AM) to put out the flames. No reported injuries.
