KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#0822; 01:23PM; 18627 W Parthenia St; https://bit.ly/2VcH5sr; Northridge; Thirty-six firefighters responded to a one-story commercial automotive-related business with smoke showing. Firefighters identified an NFPA 704 Warning Placard (contains information about hazards inside) with a "no water use" warning on it. Firefighters made entry with dry chemical extinguishers, but found the smoke was due to a mechanical failure and the fire was already out, and declared a "knockdown" in 14 minutes. Firefighters ventilated the area to evacuate the smoke and potentially toxic fumes. There were no reported injuries. No structures damaged. No reported injuries. Crews will remain on scene to extinguish all remaining hot spots.
