KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#1381; 06:20PM; 1950 N Tamarind Av; https://bit.ly/3lqBLfF; Hollywood Hills; Thirty-two LAFD firefighters extinguished fire in one unit of a three-story (four-story in part of the structure) modern apartment building in 24 minutes. Firefighters brought hose lines aloft to access the above-ground unit and quickly put out the flames before they could spread to neighboring units. Smoke filled the second floor and third floor (under construction). Residents sheltered in place within their living quarters to avoid coming in contact with the smoke and potentially toxic byproducts of combustion. No reported injuries. LAFD Crew 3 volunteer wildland firefighters continue to improve containment lines around the perimeter of the extinguished fire's footprint. Crews will remain on scene to ensure there are no remaining hot spots. There were no structures damaged, and no reported injuries.
