Hazardous Material Investigation 06/11/2022 INC#1162

Hazardous Material Investigation; INC#1162; 04:21PM; 333 Universal Hollywood Dr; https://bit.ly/3mH2SCA; #StudioCity; PRELIM: Summoned to investigate an unresponsive person in a 9th floor hotel room, LAPD and LAFD discovered (handwritten?) warning sign(s) telling others not to enter that room due to the presence of a potentially hazardous substance. The immediate area on floor 9 was calmly isolated, and nearby persons sheltered in place as an LAFD Hazardous Materials team assisted first arriving LAFD responders who have safely gained access to and are now treating the one "viable" male patient with unspecified symptoms found within the room. No escalating or off-site hazard has been identified, and there are no other persons at scene requiring medical attention or experiencing illness. It is expected that the one male patient discovered within the room (unknown age / condition / affiliation / circumstances) will be taken to an area hospital. LAPD and County Health Hazmat will then take control of what appears to be a static scene. Media Inquiries: LAPD North Hollywood Division (Incident 2763) and L.A. County Health Haz Mat; FS 86; Batt 14; Valley Bureau; Council District 4; BC14 E287 E86 EM11 JT4 JT6 RA76 RA86 SQ87 T87; CH8; 17; Brian Humphrey
