Knockdown #EsperanzaFire Structure Fire; INC#0730; 12:46PM; 1365 S Esperanza St; internal:/; Boyle Heights; Despite the presence of downed and arcing high voltage power lines, 104 LAFD firefighters assisted by the Vernon Fire Department, took just 43 minutes to safely extinguish an outside fire (stored combustibles and vegetation?) that apparently extended into and heavily damaged a 25' x 100' one story (tall building with mezzanine) metal clad structure that housed a (yet to be identified) woodworking firm, prior to LAFD arrival; One LAFD firefighter sustained a non-life threatening facial injury during the firefight; No other injury; Though electrical wires are down at the location, the specific cause of the fire has yet to be determined; Dispatched LAFD Units: BC1 BC11 BC2 BC5 CM21 CM22 E1 E14 E17 E2 E201 E203 E21 E221 E227 E25 E3 EA1 EM14 EM25 HR3 HU59 RA17 RA25 RA3 RA803 SQ21 T1 T11 T27 T3 T9 UR3 UR88 & Vernon Fire Dept; - Brian Humphrey
