LAFD Crew 3 has arrived on scene; LAFD engine companies will continue to rotate into the area to place hand lines and manage hot spots. The terrain is quite steep and covered in erosion-preventing wire mesh, which makes this slow and difficult work. Total area affected remains static at 43 acres, while containment has increased to 40%. The Sunland Boulevard on-ramp, the La Tuna Canyon Road off-ramp, and the #3 and #4 lanes of the EB 210 freeway will all be closed for the next 24 hours -- drivers are encouraged to find alternate routes. No evacuations. No injuries, either civilian or firefighter, have been reported.
