There are two patients being transported: 1 in critical condition and one with minor, non-life threatening injuries (was on the train). Age/gender unknown at this time. Any further questions are referred to LAPD Inc# 4100 and LA County Sheriff's. The original 9-1-1 call was received at 6:53PM. Update Structure Fire; INC#1589; 01:31PM; 8142 N Sunland Bl; https://bit.ly/3y3f2uu; Sun Valley; In mostly defensive operations, for over two hours, 87 firefighters battled flames with at least four ladder pipes and several other heavy streams in operation on the commercial building with one-story and two-story portions. The bulk of the fire is knocked down, however it will be an extended operation to access the remaining pockets of fire within the debris. LAFD Heavy Equipment has been called to the incident to assist. Other crews are being released to reduce the number of personnel committed. No reported injuries. KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#0928; 02:15PM; 2955 S Normandie Av; https://bit.ly/3otnwYy; Adams-Normandie; Firefighters located fire in the walls and attic of a 3,003 sq-ft two-story multi-family residence built in 1905. Firefighters performed a coordinated effort between interior fire attack and rooftop ventilation. It took 47 firefighters 20 minutes to access, confine, and extinguish the flames, without injury. KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire 12/06/2021 INC#0321

KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#0321; 12:04PM; 14335 W Sherman Wy; https://bit.ly/3Ip6uCS; Van Nuys; LAFD crews on scene of a law enforcement standby noticed smoke, and subsequently fire, coming from a third-floor unit of a three-story center-hallway apartment building at 11:40 AM, and upgraded the assignment to a structure fire response. Forty-two firefighters engaged in fire attack to confine the fire to the unit of origin, and extinguish the flames in 24 minutes, however smoke and water damage were more widespread than the fire damage. Firefighters assisted some residents with evacuation, and instructed others to shelter in place (remain in their unit with doors closed). One adult male patient in LAPD custody was transported to an area hospital with burn injuries. Several pets were affected: at least two felines deceased, others injured and fled, and one canine suffered smoke inhalation. Firefighters supported the canine until animal services arrived.
