Firefighters remained in the offensive mode as they made entry and extinguished the fire on the 1st floor before making their way up to the 2nd floor and attic. Officers are inspecting the attic of the exposed building to ensure no extension occurred. Crews will remain on scene conducting overhaul operations. Spectator slowing and the presence of fire apparatus blocking nearby lanes of both Century and La Cienega Boulevards, has led to considerable traffic in the area. Motorists headed to Los Angeles International Airport before 8:00 AM today should anticipate congestion in that area, and consider an alternate route to LAX.
