Fire began in the kitchen, and all occupants escaped the house prior to fire department arrival; several cats were pulled to safety by firefighters and treated for smoke inhalation. No surrounding homes were affected, no occupant or firefighter injuries reported. LAFD Paramedics arrived quickly to determine each had an altered level of consciousness, following their reported ingestion of cannabis edibles. In fair condition, all were taken by ambulance to area hospitals for further medical assessment.
