LAFD ground firefighters are helping the patient to the side of the river (no injuries reported), all air resources canceled. Update Structure Fire 09/16/2016

Update Structure Fire; 03:28PM; 5861 S Avalon Bl; internal:/; South Los Angeles; KNOCKDOWN: 84 FF in 52 mins. Fire heavily damaged a single family dwelling (to the rear) and a shed adjacent to larger commercial building. The metal-clad commercial building sustained damage but firefighters successfully saved the structure. A Mayday call was issued in the early phase of the incident for two 'missing' firefighters who became separated from their crew on the roof. Both firefighters were quickly located uninjured. Fire did extend to the larger, metal sided commercial building and crews working to knock down that fire and save the building.
