KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#0854; 12:57PM; 745 S Stanford Av; https://bit.ly/4a0GAmv; #DowntownLA; *Corrected Address* Thirty-four firefighters responded to a two-story center-hallway apartment building with fire in one unit on the first floor. Crews deployed hose lines to make an aggressive interior fire attack, quickly containing the flames to just the unit of origin and eliminating the fire in 14 minutes from the time of alarm. A search of the unit, thankfully, did not reveal any occupants to be inside. Firefighters will remain on scene to set up blowers and systematically ventilate all smoke out of the building. KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire 03/20/2024 INC#1394

KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#1394; 06:25PM; 20345 W Londelius St; https://bit.ly/43vhiuq; #Winnetka; Firefighters responded to a one-story home with heavy fire showing from the attached garage. Crews quickly advanced hose lines inside to attack the garage fire and stop the advancing flames before they entered the living area of the home. Firefighters discovered the garage fire spread into the attic, and put fire attack on pause to perform salvage operations inside (gathering valuables and belongings and covering them to avoid further damage due to smoke or water), before opening up the ceiling and roof to access the burning attic. Ultimately, it took 32 firefighters 25 minutes to access, confine, and extinguish the attic fire. One adult female was evaluated for minor smoke inhalation and found to be in good condition. She declined hospital transport. The occupants will be displaced and Red Cross is responding to help them during this transition period. No firefighter injuries. KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#1702; 09:47PM; 15314 Dickens St; https://bit.ly/3PsUtkZ; #ShermanOaks; Firefighters responded to an automotive shop (collision repair & paint shop) to find heavy smoke coming from inside the building. Crews made access to the inside of the building and found multiple vehicles burning inside. It took the first 28 firefighters just 18 minutes to access, confine, and extinguish the flames. No reported injuries. Structure Fire - Now Out; INC#0226; 05:28AM; 3787 N Cahuenga Bl; https://bit.ly/4aiZ3KD; #StudioCity; Firefighters responded to a 25’ x 100’ one-story commercial building with smoke showing to the rear. Firefighters found a detached A/V room with fire inside behind the main building, with flames threatening the commercial. Crews quickly deployed hose lines to the rear and extinguished the flames, keeping them from extending inside the main portion of the business. Ultimately, it took 34 firefighters 17 minutes to extinguish the flames. No reported injuries. Hoist Rescue; INC#1587; 06:27PM; 7600 W Verdugo Crestline Dr; https://bit.ly/49WiHw9; #Tujunga; Firefighters located a 29-year-old female in a remote area with a lower leg injury. Ground crews were unable to bring apparatus to the patient's location, therefore LAFD Air Operations utilized a hoist operation. A rescuer was lowered down to the patient to assess, treat, and prepare the patient for a hoist. LAFD Air Operations transported the patient by air to a local hospital. Update Technical Rescue 03/18/2024 INC#0997

Update Technical Rescue; INC#0997; 02:15PM; 11250 W Wentworth St; https://bit.ly/39Oo2M8; #ShadowHills; Firefighters located one horse stuck in the mud, with the owner nearby, in a remote area of the Hansen Dam Recreation Area. Crews diverted some of the water, used shovels to partially dig the horse out, then used a tow strap and a team of firefighters to pull the horse free. LA Animal Services' Specialized Mobile Animal Rescue Team (SMART) responded and evaluated the horse.
