While initially it appeared the fire extended to an adjacent one story commercial building, upon investigation it was found to be only residual smoke. There are no injuries reported. Structure Fire - NOW OUT; INC#1383; 06:47PM; 10925 S Figueroa St; https://bit.ly/3t1gcc1; Vermont Vista; At 4:54PM firefighters responded to a reported structure fire. A small restaurant (approx 25' x 15') had an outside cooking area where the fire started and extended into a portion of the restaurant which sustained significant damage. Firefighters extinguished the fire in 17 minutes. A 50 yo male patient sustained burn injuries to his arm when trying to extinguish the fire. He was transported to the hospital in fair condition.
