Structure Fire; INC#0174; 03:43AM; 1316 N Fairfax Av; https://bit.ly/37tiKjE; Hollywood; 44 LAFD firefighters responded to a two-story garden-style apartment with fire in one second-story unit. Initial entry was delayed by furniture blocking the doorway (appeared to be intentional barricade). One adult male (late 60s) appeared to have jumped from a second story window and was beyond medical help prior to LAFD arrival, due to traumatic injuries. No other occupants inside the fire unit (and no transport from the scene). No other patients. LAFD Arson Investigators and LAPD are on scene investigating the cause of the fire and the circumstances of the man's death. Knockdown of the flames was declared after 21 minutes (4:04 AM). Nothing further.
