One patient determined dead on scene and three patients transported in unknown conditions (all meeting trauma criteria due to the mechanism of injury). Two additional patients were evaluated on scene and declined LAFD treatment/transport. Age/gender of patients are unknown at this time. Firefighters quickly put a stop to advancing flames, preventing the fire from spreading to additional units. It took 30 firefighters 17 minutes (3:10 AM) to extinguish the flames. Welding in an attached garage appears to have been the cause of the fire. Firefighters extinguished the flames in 12 minutes (12:22 PM), and successfully prevented fire from spreading to the attached living quarters of the home.
