The traffic is currently grid-locked and CHP is working to shut the freeway and clear traffic to allow LAFD apparatus to spot and deploy the air cushion. Firefighters positioned themselves around the exterior of the structure with hose lines to douse the flames, including positions on the roofs of two residential structures for protection. Firefighters contained the flames to the building of origin (and some ornamental vegetation immediately outside). No reported injuries. While operating in the area during the brush fire incident, crews located some bones that appear to be human remains (unrelated to the fire).
