Auto Vs Ped; INC#1680; 09:07PM; 9198 S Avalon Bl; https://bit.ly/3TIcrSV; Green Meadows; Vehicle versus pedestrian. Firefighters quickly responded to report of vehicle versus pedestrian and transported the unknown patient with unknown injuries to local hospital. The original 9-1-1 was received at 9:07PM. Update KNOCKDOWN Update Structure Fire Structure Fire; INC#0268; 06:13AM; 2050 S Bundy Dr; https://bit.ly/3TIBjZF; Sawtelle; Defensive firefighting efforts will continued through the night in a systematic manner to fully extinguish stubborn flames deep within the tons of smoldering debris created by the vacant and now heavily fire damaged 53,500 square foot two-story commercial building. At approximately 0200 hours an official knockdown was declared by fire recourses on scene. To assist in that effort for full extinguishment, LAFD heavy mechanized equipment (i.e. bulldozers, excavators, etc.) were utilized for strategic demolition and physical hazard abatement. Though no injuries have been reported, and no escalating or off-site hazard identified, pursuant to protocol Department of Building & Safety Inspector have assessed the location, and environmental officials have been notified of the firefighting efforts and controlled demolition related to the unstable structure. LAFD operations were completed and the building was turned over to Department of Building & Safety at 1100 hours. Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) is on scene assisting. Traffic will resume to normal operation once Building & Safety and LADWP have completed operations dealing with the building. No injuries have been reported. All lanes of Bundy Drive between Olympic Boulevard and LaGrange Avenue will continue to remain closed for safety, until LAFD operations are complete. Hiker Rescue 09/22/2024 INC#1387

Hiker Rescue; INC#1387; 07:26PM; 2800 E Observatory Rd; https://bit.ly/4cvD98z; Griffith Park; Park Rangers located the hiker down approximately 75’ from the ridge. The hiker was uninjured but stuck in a precarious location. Park Rangers deployed a rope rescue system and lowered a rescuer to secure the patient. As firefighters met them on scene, they were conducting a raising operation.
