Update Automobile Fire; INC#0760; 01:30PM; SB 405 Fwy x Skirball Center Dr; http://bit.ly/34pzLZ6; Brentwood; A semi truck hauling a single trailer of hay caught fire while travelling southbound on the 405 through the Sepulveda Pass. The driver safely pulled over and exited the burning vehicle, in an area that was not exposing any brush to the flames. Firefighters have now extinguished the fire using a combinations of water and firefighting foam. Two lanes remain open on the southbound 405, while the rest of the lanes will be closed for at least a few hours (with CHP on scene with FD), while a wheel loader from the LAFD Dozer team (our Caterpillar IT28, unit identifier - LD2) responds to assist with the cleanup. Update KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#1853; 11:59PM; 706 N Coronado St; http://bit.ly/36A9s3U; Echo Park; LAFD arrived to find a one-story bungalow fully-involved with flames. Firefighters ultimately kept off the roof, as there was structural compromise. The bulk of the fire was in the attic. 59 firefighters extinguished the blaze in 22 minutes. No reported injuries. Update Structure Fire; INC#0559; 10:45AM; 1701 W 38th Pl; http://bit.ly/2rRujkr; Exposition Park; As the fire was being extinguished, in what is now being described as a two-story duplex, firefighters searched the unit for victims and found a canine inside the fire unit in respiratory and cardiac arrest. Resuscitation measures were take and the beloved pet was successfully revived and reunited with its owner, who had managed to escape as firefighters were arriving. Update Cliff Rescue 12/15/2019 INC#1346

Update Cliff Rescue; INC#1346; 09:30PM; 4119 S Pacific Av; http://bit.ly/2to3qoL; San Pedro; Though witnesses stated there may have been others, LAFD ground crews searched and encountered only one adult female with minor injuries near the vehicle that was on fire about 25' below the top of the seaside cliff. Despite wind, the flames did not extend to vegetation and were quickly extinguished. The woman was taken to an area hospital for further evaluation. Despite the swift extinguishment, one adult and one child are displaced by the fire, and are being referred to the American Red Cross for temporary assistance.
