CONTAINED Brush Fire; INC#1030; 02:40PM; 11798 W Foothill Bl; https://bit.ly/3W79TPP; #HansenDam; LAFD ground and air resources were joined by Angeles National Forest and Los Angeles County Fire Department in Automatic Aid to assist with the "Stone Fire," near the Hansen Dam. Containment was achieved in less than an hour (3:30pm), and the fire was held to approximately 2 acres of vegetation. Crews remain on-scene to address hot spots and ensure all threat has been neutralized. Update Traffic Collision with Fire 07/01/2024 INC#1671

Update Traffic Collision with Fire; INC#1671; 08:15PM; 13136 W Sherman Wy; https://bit.ly/3xKa9eb; #ValleyGlen; One vehicle with two occupants collided directly into the rear of a vehicle parked curbside, which created a chain-reaction collision ultimately causing damage to four vehicles (one occupied and moving, and three unoccupied and parked-in-line). Though the errant vehicle caught fire shortly after the collision and was well involved on firefighter's arrival, the two adult male occupants of that car had been able to extract themselves from the wreckage prior to fire department arrival. The flames were quickly confined to the errant vehicle and the first vehicle it collided with. The two men, one in fair condition, the other in serious condition, were taken to an area hospital by LAFD Paramedics. No other injuries were reported. Brush Fire, Outside City; INC#0059; 01:13AM; 24777 W Woolsey Canyon Rd; https://bit.ly/4eE5T0x; #OutsideCity; LAFD fire crews headed back out to Woolsey Canyon tonight, to assist LA County and Ventura County Fire Departments in containing what grew to a 4-acre patch of brush, pushed by 2-3 mph winds. This has been dubbed the "Dora Incident," and forward progress of the fire was declared stopped within approximately 30 minutes. Update KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#1534; 08:38PM; 1390 E Newton St; https://bit.ly/3zpfUyp; #Downtown; Over 80 firefighters coordinated to extinguish the blaze in this 100' x 50' commercial building in 48 minutes. All nearby exposures were protected, with no injuries or fatalities reported. Extensive damage, due to multiple previous burns, will be evaluated by the Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety. LAFD Heavy Equipment crews are on standby for possible demolition, in the event the structure is deemed unsafe. Hiker Rescue 06/30/2024 INC#1350

Hiker Rescue; INC#1350; 05:59PM; Mt Lukens Rd; https://bit.ly/4cJw6ZK; #Tujunga; LAFD air resources have located a hiker and his three dogs in a remote location on the north side of Mt. Lukens -- the hiker had called 911 for aid just before losing his cellular connection. An LAFD helicopter lowered a paramedic to assess the 61-year-old male, who was dehydrated and unable to walk out of the location under his own power.
