Update Trench Rescue; INC#1337; 06:25PM; 5055 N Louise Av; http://bit.ly/2XlTB8S; Encino; An adult male in grave condition, still buried chest high inside of a construction trench. Initial findings suggests the worker descended into the trench to do work on an underground sewer line when a catastrophic failure of the trench occurred. Rescuers are shoring up the trench to prevent further collapse and making entrance into the area containing the patient to begin rapidly digging him out. MEDIA: The trench is on private property; continue staging at 5000 Louise (enter from Ventura Blvd). Update Auto Into Structure; INC#0217; 05:05AM; 8760 S Main St; http://bit.ly/2NwpmHN; Broadway-Manchester; A white sedan collided with the corner of a four-story apartment building and caught on fire. The fire problem was eliminated very quickly by firefighters with a dry chem extinguisher to protect the two occupants still in the vehicle. A 59yo female driver and 55yo male passenger were both transported in critical condition. One adult female (45), who was inside the structure, was deceased on scene. A 4yo child was transported in fair condition. No firefighter injuries. Update KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#0834; 02:05PM; 831 S Westlake Av; http://bit.ly/2JiKThO; Westlake; 84 firefighters in 45 minutes knocked down the blaze in a two-story boarded-up apartment building, 5,049 square feet. After overcoming forcible entry challenges, firefighters fought fire on the first floor, second floor, in the attic, and in the walls. No occupants were found while searching the building. No reported injuries.
