Agency Assist; INC#1719; 10:14PM; 100 W California Av; http://bit.ly/2XOoW3u; Ridgecrest; In coordination with the California Governor's Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES) and in accordance with the California Fire Service and Rescue Emergency Mutual Aid System, the Los Angeles Fire Department has deployed a thoroughly equipped Type 1 Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) Team to Ridgecrest, California in support of active emergency operations related to seismic activity in that area. The eight specially trained, certified and equipped LAFD responders will work closely with allied agencies in a multi-disciplinary approach to all hazards, and are expected to fulfill a key role in structural assessment and stabilization in support of any emergency or rescue operations that may arise; "These veteran LAFD responders are proud emissaries of the people of Los Angeles, and eager to leverage their considerable skill in helping the people of Kern County."; - Brian Humphrey

Update Structure Fire; INC#1259; 06:30PM; 5971 N Topeka Dr; http://bit.ly/2Xv63Da; Tarzana; A veteran crew of LAFD Firefighter/Paramedics were relentless in their resuscitation efforts with the large unresponsive dog they pulled from the smoke-charged home; Their skilled efforts proved fruitful, and the now-conscious and spontaneously breathing pet has been taken by the family to a nearby veterinary emergency center, where it has a fighting chance of survival. We're pleased to say no humans were injured in the fire of electrical origin, which originated near the family's large indoor aquarium; Sadly, none of the fish survived; Monetary loss from the fire is still being tabulated; FS 93; Batt 17; Valley Bureau; Council District 3; - Brian Humphrey
