Firefighters found a two story, center hall apartment building with fire showing from the 2nd floor. Firefighters initiated an offensive operation and achieved a knockdown in just 17 minutes. Three patients (age/gender/condition unknown) are being evaluated. Cause and $ loss to be determined. The building type is updated to a two story four-plex. The fire was contained to the 2nd floor of two units. Firefighters are working on a thorough search of the first floors (no fire involvement but some smoke) which have excessive storage conditions creating challenges in making entry. Firefighters located a small fire on the balcony of a three story, garden style apartment building. The resident, 42yo M, reported he was charging an electric scooter which ignited and he moved it to the balcony. He was transported with burn injuries to hands/arms and possible respiratory tract involvement.
