Crews are initiating a fire attack by ground and air. It took 47 firefighters 20 minutes surround the final one-acre burn footprint, stopping all forward progress. Crews will remain on scene to improve containment lines and cool all hot spots within the one-acre burn area ("mop up" operations). No reported injuries. One approximately 21-year-old male had minor injuries from jumping out of the house from the second floor (fair condition), and an approximately 50-year-old female sustained burns and smoke inhalation (critical condition). Both patients were transported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Fatality Vehicle Fire 10/02/2023 INC#1656

During fire extinguishment, a lifeless body was discovered in the vehicle. Beyond medical help, the victim was determined deceased and remains at the scene. One adult female fled the burning RV and is in the care of Firefighter/Paramedics being treated for burns and smoke inhalation. The cause of the fire is under active investigation.
