One 58-year-old female civilian is being medically evaluated at scene by LAFD Paramedics for unspecified injury. No other injuries reported. Update #MontereyFire - Major Emergency Brush Fire; INC#1442; 09:05PM; 4235 N Monterey Rd; https://maps.app.goo.gl/q29wq3ydYCUkgxBKA; #MontecitoHeights; Thanks to 73 minutes of relentless firefighting by LAFD ground and air crews, forward progress of the "Monterey Fire" has been stopped. A final acreage figure will be calculated as further containment is achieved by LAFD and LACoFD Hand Crews. No injuries have been reported and no structures were damaged. No evacuation warnings or orders were issued. The LAFD will remain on scene through the night to closely monitor hotspots and complete a damp bare earth perimeter of the burned area. Update #MontereyFire - Major Emergency Brush Fire; INC#1442; 09:00PM; 4235 N Monterey Rd; https://maps.app.goo.gl/q29wq3ydYCUkgxBKA; #MontecitoHeights; With 108 LAFD personnel assigned by ground and air, the "Monterey Fire" has escalated to LAFD Major Emergency status. The largely terrain driven blaze fanned by 10-15 mph wind, has consumed approximately three (3) acres of of medium-to-heavy brush within the 282 acre Ernest E. Debs Regional Park. Precise LAFD helicopter water drops are helping hedge the fire's growth, as ground crews continue to make progress containing the fire's perimeter in rugged terrain. Vehicle Fire Fatality; INC#0857; 01:16PM; 13400 W Raymer St; https://bit.ly/4kZjCks; #ValleyGlen; LAFD Firefighters responded quickly to find a recreational vehicle parked curbside in an industrial area, fully ablaze. Though the fire was prevented from extending to businesses or other vehicles parked nearby, the remains of one person (undetermined age/gender/site affiliation/circumstances) were found within the charred remnants of the Class A style motorhome. No other injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under active investigation. An LAFD Rescue Helicopter has discovered the patient and lowered a Flight Paramedic to medically assess and stabilize her injury. Update Technical Rescue 07/25/2025 INC#1192

Update Technical Rescue; INC#1192; 04:24PM; 14200 W Mulholland Dr; https://bit.ly/3Ut9TYG; Beverly Crest; Thanks to the efforts of 45 firefighters, one adult female was safely rescued from a perilous position on a hillside. The patient reportedly fell down the side of the hill after losing balance while peering over the edge of the hillside. LAFD Urban Search and Rescue crews set up a low angle rope system to safely move the patient up to street level. LAFD Urban Search and Rescue team is setting up a rope system to lower paramedics to the patient for evaluation.
