Structure Fire - NOW OUT; INC#0175; 02:59AM; 2602 S Holt Av; https://bit.ly/3mi5uKG; Mid-City; Firefighters arrived to find a one story, single family dwelling (believed to be vacant) with heavy fire showing and one additional building exposed. The incident commander requested additional resources and firefighters initiated an offensive fire attack. 50 firefighters fully extinguished the fire in 25 minutes with no injuries reported. Firefighters prevented the fire from extending into the exposed building, limiting the damage to windows and the exterior. No injuries reported. The 9-1-1 call was received at 2:34AM. While there were some (number unknown) windows which were damaged on the exposed apartment building, the fire was stopped from extending into the structure. Firefighters will remain on scene for an unknown duration to conduct extensive overhaul operations to ensure no pockets of fire remain. LA Building and Safety are responding. One person was fatally struck and was found down on the beach, along with two of the vehicles involved (none in the water). KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#1462; 08:15PM; 10320 N Oakdale Av; https://bit.ly/3Mn98xy; #Chatsworth; An outside fire partially damaged a two-story home. Firefighters arrived to quickly extinguish the structure and outside fires, protecting the interior of the home. Firefighters are setting up ventilation measures to clear some light smoke that made its way inside. Ultimately, it took 18 firefighters 15 minutes to respond and extinguish the flames.
