Update Animal Rescue; INC#0536; 12:11PM; 11798 W Foothill Bl; http://bit.ly/2OINzKu; Hansen Dam; 20 assigned LAFD personnel with R&R (ropes and reassurance) have been able to manually pull the 800 lb white male horse (gelding) from the mud and water of the marsh in a remote and heavily vegetated section of Hansen Dam Recreation Area; The horse is now walking; The circumstances that led to the entrapment, as well as the horse's medical status or any injury to the animal have not been determined; LAFD Paramedics continue to assess the 1 adult F human (unk relationship to equine) at the scene for unspecified illness or injury; Media: Though the rescue has been accomplished, that horse and others in the area remain extremely skittish to noise.
