She is conscious and will be transported in undetermined condition to a nearby trauma center. Another person nearby later felt faint, and was evaluated by LAFD Paramedics before declining ambulance transport. Update Knockdown Brush Fire; INC#0634; 11:23AM; 11062 N Winnetka Av; http://bit.ly/2uyEOur; Chatsworth; Despite wind, an LAFD ground and air response of 55 personnel took just 27 minutes to fully extinguish less that one-quarter acre of freeway adjacent vegetation that was burning at the southeast corner of the intersection of Porter Ranch Dr and Ronald Reagan (SR118) Freeway. There have been no injuries and no structures threatened. The eastbound onramp only to the 118 Freeway at Porter Ranch Drive will remain closed until LAFD operations are complete. Update Rescue; INC#1705; 10:50PM; 23422 W Los Encinos Wy; http://bit.ly/2TkFZWu; Woodland Hills; An adult male not affiliated with nearby home/s, fell approximately 20' down the vertical concrete wall of the mostly dry Calabasas Creek flood control channel, landing in the bottom of the channel, sustaining leg injuries. Update Structure Fire; INC#1283; 06:11PM; 911 N Griswold Av; http://bit.ly/2SZBQZe; City of San Fernando; Correct address confirmed as *911* North Griswold Ave. The fire began on the covered rear patio of the combination one- and two-story multi-family residence (1 story at the rear, 2 at the front; a former single family home subdivided to a residential fourplex), and minimally extended into the rear of the structure, There was no human injury. One pet cat was rescued from the smoke charged building by Firefighters and successfully resuscitated with oxygen. The search for two other felines in the building led to the sad discovery of one who was deceased. A whole-hearted search for the third cat continues. The cause of the fire is electrical, related to the charging of a large battery on the rear patio.
