Firefighters have called for a vacuum truck and sand to mitigate the environmental effect. Several agencies have been notified (Clean Harbors, Street Services, Watershed, and possible responsible parties for the substance). There is no anticipated widespread public hazard. Firefighters quickly deployed hose lines and kept the fire from spreading to the nearby home, which only sustained minor exterior damage. Hiker Rescue; INC#0583; 10:21AM; Santa Monica Mountains; https://bit.ly/41nvSSJ; #PacificPalisades; PRELIM: LAFD ground and air response to a 64 year-old male hiker who sustained an ankle injury on a remote section of the Josepho Spur Trail west of the Murphy Ranch Stables. Though information from the 9-1-1 caller was limited, an LAFD Rescue Helicopter was able to find the man and lower an LAFD Flight Paramedic to begin initial care and injury stabilization.
