There was a well developed attic fire which crews prevented from extending down into the structure. While fire attack made entry to the attic space, firefighters conducted salvage operations to protect the belongings inside the structure. The building, appearing as a single family dwelling, was housing a commercial business. It was paper goods that were burning, creating a moderate amount of smoke inside. Firefighters ensured the fire was completely extinguished and then shut down the water to the sprinkler system. Firefighters will work to remove the standing water (estimated 1 1/2" in the back portion of the store) to preserve property. The 9-1-1 call was received at 8:55PM.
