KNOCKDOWN Structure Fire; INC#0856; 01:28PM; 13742 W Oscar St; https://bit.ly/45f2u2m; Sylmar; KNOCKDOWN: 68 firefighters battled heavy fire and excessive storage conditions for 42 minutes to achieve knockdown. The primary and secondary search of the residence found no patients. The fire involved the home, patio (excessive storage) and detached garage. One firefighter is being transported with a heat related illness. No other injuries reported. The driver of the vehicle is not trapped and does not appear to have sustained any life-threatening injuries. A broken gas line was fueling the fire, and the gas company responded to shut off the main. Excessive storage inside presented challenges in accessing the fire, and limited the number of personnel that fit inside the structure. Overall, it took 38 firefighters 82 minutes to access, confine, and extinguish the flames. No reported injuries.
