Prior to making access to the attic, firefighters ensured all occupants were out of the structure, and then moved belongings/furniture to one area of each room and covered them to protect from smoke and water damage (salvage operations). Firefighters then made access through the ceiling and roof to the attic space, and extinguished the fire. Ultimately, it took 22 firefighters 15 minutes. No reported injuries. Though there were no injuries, some nearby vehicles sustained damage, and there are few broken windows in nearby homes.
